While not an event exactly, each year SWN opens the opportunity for our membership to choose a charity in late fall to Christmas time each year.

SWN does not donate as an organization. However, Expressions Of Interest (EOI) are respectfully received and and then the recipient organization is selected my a committee headed by our Program Committee.

Members are encouraged to donate to the selected organization and usually a delegate is asked to speak at the December luncheon.

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
Charitable Organization to Receive Contributions made by Members at the December 11 Luncheon

GENERAL
The Saskatoon Women’s Network Board of Directors (the “SWN Board”) hereby seeks Expressions of Interest from current members respecting the receipt of charitable donations from the membership at the December 11, 2012 luncheon.

PURPOSE
The SWN Board’s purpose in seeking Expressions of Interest is to obtain submissions from interested parties that are current members, respecting the receipt of charitable donations from the membership at the December 11, 2012 luncheon. Also to ensure that as many current members as is possible have an opportunity to submit a proposal for consideration.

ELIGIBILITY
Expressions of Interest are invited from any current member of the SWN. A current member is an individual who has paid their membership fee in full for the 2012/2013 networking year, and is currently not in arrears with the SWN.

REQUIREMENTS
The SWN Board requires a suitable member that is associated with a charitable organization that would appreciate the receipt of appropriate donations by the membership at our December 11, 2012 Christmas Luncheon.

SUBMISSIONS
Expressions of Interest shall be submitted in writing to the SWN Program Chairperson, Shawna Nelson, 612 Spadina Crescent East, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 3G9, via fax to 931-4677 or by email to shawnan@sheratonsaskatoon.com

Submissions will be received no later than October 24, 2012.

Expression of Interest should include the following:

• SWN Member’s name, company name, and membership standing
• Address and contact phone numbers and e-mail addresses
• Full description and mandate of the charitable organization.
• Suggestions of items that would be appropriate for the clientele that your charitable organization serves.

ANTICIPATED OUTCOME
Following evaluation, the SWN Board expects to make a decision by November 13, 2012. All applications will be notified in writing as to which organization has been designated to receive our 2012 Charitable Donations. The SWN Board reserves the right to switch suppliers at any given time with proper notice.
